ExTeX - Interactive lecture notes and exercises in TeX

Warning: This talk is not about research, but more about education.

We present a system that allows to create TeX documents, from small reading assignments to complete lecture notes, that can be augmented with a variety of interactive features by using familiar syntax. For example, exercises can be defined (e.g., in the form of multiple choice questions, but also more complex variants) that are automatically graded and immediate feedback is given to the student. The resulting documents are, in essence, HTML-files that can be displayed in a web browser.

Note that this project is still a work in progress. Nevertheless, it is mature enough so that early adopters, who want to play around or even use it in an upcoming lecture, are more than welcome to try it out.
