Each student is expected to give a talk on a suggested topic from one of the lists below. In order to receive proper credit ("Testat") for this seminar, it is mandatory to carefully prepare the presentation and to give a rehearsal talk to your advisor. See these guidelines for more information on the preparation of your talk.

Vorträge auf Englisch bzw. auf Deutsch (If you do not speak German you may safely ignore this paragraph.)

Üblicherweise werden die Vorträge im Mittagsseminar auf Englisch gehalten, zum einen, weil unsere Arbeitsgruppen recht international sind, zum anderen, weil dies eine gute Übung in der im Wissenschaftsbetrieb vorherrschenden englischen Sprache darstellt. Falls gewünscht kann ein Vortrag jedoch auch auf Deutsch gehalten werden.
