Computer aided information processing in the Structuralism

Knowledge discovery (KD) systems and empiric science have similarities in the underlying structure. Since the Structuralism is able to reflect the structure and the results of empiric science, we study its potential for KD systems. First we will look at three applications of KD systems and try to reflect their setup and structure in structural terms. Then we will present our ideas for knowledge processing within the structural framework in detail.

This is joint work with Nicolai von Hoyningen-Huene (TU München) and Christoph Krautz (TU München).
