A Universal Construction for Unique Sink Orientations

We introduce a new framework of USO constructions, based on a connection between USOs and cube tilings of R^d previously discovered by Schurr, and construction techniques from the cube tilings community previously used to disprove Keller's Conjecture. We show that with this construction we can construct all USOs. We also point out a small, easy-to-understand special case of our construction framework, which yields a previously unknown USO modification. Joint work with Michaela Borzechowski (FU Berlin) and Joseph Doolittle (TU Graz).
